There are a lot and I mean a lot of snacks to be tried and tested on Disney World property.

Below I have put together my list of mouth-watering, must-have treats and where to find them. Some are true classics where you can't go wrong and others are special holiday treats which are well worth waiting for.

Port Orleans Beignets

There are so many reasons why I love this resort and the beignets are definitely one of them. These heavenly pillowy pieces of fried dough topped with powdered sugar are absolutely game-changing. The Seat Cat Club's Cafe in Port Orleans French Quarter is the only place where you can snag these so make sure you make the journey. (A side note, you also receive 3 free beignets after completing the 1.5-mile beignet fun run/ walk that the hotel holds every Sunday). https://www.disneyworld.co.uk/resorts/port-orleans-resort-french-quarter/recreation/

If that isn't motivation, I don't know what is.

(In the holiday season you can also get pumpkin spice beignets which I still think about 9 months later)

Mickey's Premium Ice-Cream Bar

We all scream for ice-cream! (Especially Mickey-shaped ones).

If you travel to Disney you have to get your hands on the Mickey's Premium Ice-Cream Bar. This treat is available in all parks on a snack or ice-cream cart. As its name suggests, it is a chocolate-coated vanilla ice cream bar designed in the shape of Mickey Mouse's head.

Besides it being the best ice cream choice, it is possibly the most satisfying and instagrammable snack out there.

Woody's Chocolate-Hazelnut Lunch Box Tart

The chocolate-hazelnut lunch box tart is a fairly new snack that was introduced to Woody's Lunch Box when Toy Story land opened in Hollywood Studios. It is inspired by the popular pop tart but with a twist of flavour. This snack can be enjoyed as breakfast or dessert and also comes in a raspberry marmalade flavour as well.

Of course, if you can manage a whole one then be my guest (see what I did there), but this can easily be shared amongst 2-3 people as they are really filling!

Gastons Tavern Cinnamon Roll

Cinnamon rolls can be found at most parks and resorts, but the best one I have come across is served at Gastons Tavern in the Magic Kingdom located in New Fantasyland.

This warm cinnamon roll is just as good or dare I say, even better than those that used to be served at Main Street Bakery in the Magic Kingdom. As a snack they are perfect for sharing because they are HUGE! Especially if you ask for extra icing, which you should because it takes it from a 10 to 100 in seconds. The roll is moist, yet gooey and has just enough cinnamon that it isn't overpowering but still gives you that warm fuzzy feeling.

(Side note - this isn't my own photo, I was too impatient).

Pumpkin Spice Chocolate Covered Pretzels

These tiny treats were new to me when I visited Disney in 2019. I'm not sure whether they had been introduced that year or the previous year because back in 2017 I definitely didn't manage to get my mitts on them. And you know me anything Halloween, pumpkin or Mickey-shaped, I'm all over.

These mini Mickey-shaped pretzels are dipped in white chocolate then drizzled with orange (not flavoured) and milk chocolate. The pumpkin spice is not overwhelming and the focus is more on the salt and the white chocolate. These mini pretzels can be enjoyed anytime and are a good size snack to be taken around the parks with you. I enjoyed mine in bed watching the Halloween Baking Championships because I'm 70 years old.

They can be found in all parks and most resorts, I picked mine up in Port Orleans where I was staying but I spotted them on Boardwalk and the Emporium on Main Street. The only downside to these is that you have to wait until August/September to get your hands on them. (I wish I bought 10 bags)!!

Let me know your favourite Disney snacks!
